Color Pallet

Image
I chose this blue and yellowish color for a multitude of reasons. First of I just love the color blue, it is without a doubt my favorite color to use and i feel like it is the color that is most similar to my personality. I also chose this pallet as it is very pleasing to the eye without being overwhelming or just disgusting to look at. All of the colors compliment each other in one way or another. This was my second favorite color pallet as it wasnt quite as clean as the one above, but I like the bit more stark contrast with the purple in the mix. It gives the pallet a bit of an eye catching feature that i really didnt know the first pallet was missing.

Exploring Brand Guides (Skype)

It feels like Skypes primary focus in their guide is to list out all the various advantages people will gain from using their site. They breakdown everything from their logo to their typeface and similar topics. The guide is very cartoony at first. Its only two people talking back and forth for about 10 pages before the guide gets into the actual information on the article. It maintains a cartoon like aspect thoughout the entire guide, using characters or little thought bubbles to portray random thoughts. It states that in order to use the logo, you must leave enough room between the ampersand and the &, and the logo must always be in the far right corner. "Skype is a piece of software that allows people around the world to talk to each other for free." I like the way the guide is set up as a whole, it diverts from the boring and rather serious guides and keeps the reader fairly interested and invested. It maintains an upbeat style that doesnt really clutter the reader a

Exploring Viral Videos (Rick Rollin & Chocolate Rain)

Rick Astley - Rick Rollin Rick Rollin, also known as "Never Gonna Give You Up," originated in 1987 and was performed by Rick Astley. Before this iconic song became a meme, the original creation of the song was a music video performed by Rick Astley; the song's incredibly catchy beat and relatively upbeat tune helped people realize the potential, not only for a great song but an even better meme. Rick Rollin began in 2006 with 4chan, initially calling it "duck rolling." Rick Rollin usually only consists of the first 3-4 seconds of the song, which is more than enough time to get the mood across. Here is a link to the original " Never Gonna Give You Up. " At the time, the song was very well received, placing first on the American top 100, as well as topping the list in 25 other countries. It also ranked no.1 in both the UK and South Africa end-of-the-year singles chart. Rick Astley (Born February 6th, 1966) was an English Artist, songwriter, and performe
