  Hans Gissinger, “Couteau/Knife" from La Conversation (2000)   Jacob Wylie, "Knife" from Da Kitchen (2023) Three things stuck out to me, the different textures, the water/mess, and the lighting. When working on the textures I wanted to add a divider down the middle that showed the separation in background textures. The water was randomly splattered onto the top half to recreate the original chaos. While I didn't get the lighting as central on the knife as I wanted it, I felt it was still eye-catching enough to provoke thought.
