The 25-year Bet About Technology Reflection

     Kevin Kelly is a well-known writer and founding executive editing editor for Wired magazine. He is also a former editor/publisher for the Whole Earth Review. One key thing he preaches everywhere he can is how he tries to remain positive or optimistic despite the news and media. In his article "The Case for Optimism, " he says there are two main reasons why you should remain optimistic: "One is the general case for optimism at any time. Reflecting on the way we read.

Well , as Mr. Kevin Kelly points out in his article " Reading in a Whole New Way ," he states that until the 10th century, books and sentences, in general, were being written like that. Now that may seem like a long time; however, that was only about 1000 years ago, give or take, and if books were read like that now? I promise you I wouldn't dare pick up a book. Mr. Kelly's article talks about how drastically we read today and how it may not be such a bad thing. While reading on screens leads to action more than ordinarily persuasive books, sometimes action isn't bad. The article also does an excellent job of laying out the advantages both media provide while arguing that reading on screens isn't as bad as it is usually portrayed. Composition Principles 2

 Rule of thirds - Helps with the aesthetic of the scene and looks better than a simple direct placement. The 180-degree rule - helps the viewer stay focused; I think it personally adds a bit more tension in a weird but rather chaotic way. Interview tips - doing homework just makes sense and feels kind of rude if you don't. Don't wing your questions, and no "yes or no" questions are pretty obvious. An interview is between two people so looking at the camera feels weird. Interview tips 2 - diffusing light is a really smart and mindful thing to take care of the person you are interviewing, and the DIY diffuser is genius. The nose room differences were annoying B-Roll - I fricking loved everything about this video. The concept of B-Roll and how it tells a story is absolutely amazing.  Three lights - this was an interesting video as I didn't know how the lights worked with each other or even the placement of any of them.
